Use your Talents. Laurence & Lene Part 3

Lene and Laurence agreed that if they would be the good fairy they would donate a good dose of curiosity to the people. Jürgen had told me this story that he had worked a coupld of years in Paris as a young men. When he returned to Denmark not one of his family or neighbours asked one question about how it had been there. Though the Danes travel a lot they are not really curious about how it is actually living elsewhere -?. L&L said that this has to do with (again!) the ‚Jantelaw’ (see older blogpost):

Because nobody is supposed to be better than anyone else ) there is a lack of conversation culture and a general scepticism towards elite in every sense. People outside the academic world (so they say) do know a bit of everything but not too much and out of insecurity they are not too curious(?!). And that is also why a lot of intelligent people leave Denmark. Or go to Christiaia and smoke too much (well, that was my comment). They both said: Denmark, use your talents! Mmh. Is that really so?
