Falling into Cold Water. Laurence & Lene Part 2

Lene and Laurence said: Most important for Danes is their job, otherwise they are quite closed and reserved in showing warmth. The Danes would prefer to have friends who are alike and tend to stay in quite closed circles. Danes have a hard time expressing their emotions. Laurence said they actually have no real respect for emotions -?-.

In France was ok to be angry, but not in Demark: if you are angry here it becomes an issue and synonymous with being crazy. The Danes are in general afraid to talk about their emotions and should learn to deal with it. L&L said: Because of the cold climate the Danes since hundreds of years got accustomed to ‚not wasting energy on having or showing much emotions’ (that’s really what they said). Lene used the example of ‚when you fall into cold water you do not waste energy by moving too quickly’.
